Beautiful Weather at Grimley Raceway

Progrands & Minicups UK wish to thank their round sponsors Branson Automotive........at Grimley last weekend.

It was a great afternoon racing while the sunshine shone:-

Progrands had 3 different winners throughtout the day with Heat 1 #43 James Budd, Heat 2 #25 Robin Bath and the Final was won by #21 Steven Lees, 2nd #75 Russell Best and 3rd #43 James Budd, who also pleased the crowd with a donut at the end.

All day saw some very close racing enjoyed by both racers & spectators, including a few friendly rubs, etc... Rubbin is racing right ?

Steven Lees had a bit of bad luck with a problem in heat 2, which ment he started the final on Pole, with the rest of the pack chasing,  Ryan Mulley the guest driver in the #28 got off to a great start and was going well until the axle mount broke a few laps from the end meaning he had to pull in to the centre in the Final. With a 6 week summer break all the drivers have a nice little bit of time to freshen up their cars ahead of our annual trip to the Isle of Man in August.

Minicups #25 Ethan Bath won both heats, with some very close racing. Arthur Bath, our youngest driver, didn't make it easy for his brother to pass him and made him work for it in all 3 races. Trying so hard Arthur #24 & Nic #46 got caught together on the final lap in heat 2, which caused Arthur to spin, hit the wall and role backwards over the line to take the flag for 3rd,. Car #24 needed some body repairs before the final, and as always and what we are so proud of the club being about, both fathers and other Progrand drivers were on hand to help out and all Minicups were again out in the final. Minicups final 1st #25 Ethan Bath 2nd #24 Arthur Bath 3rd #46 Nic Farmer 4th #17 George Swann
