Pro Grand racecars are a great way to get involved in racing without spending a fortune and they are among the safest racecars ever built.
Baby Grand stockcars are 2/3 scale replicas of Winston Cup Stock Cars (Nascars). They use a Yamaha XJR1300 engine (1250cc) Or FJ1200 which produces 140 BHP. Each car is subject to a minimum weight of 681KG. Which equates to approx. 200 BHP per Ton.
Pro Grands race on UK Tarmac short tracks as well as road courses, being one of the most adaptable racecars available.
Safety First
Unlike most scaled-down race cars, the Pro Grands not only have the appearance of full-sized stock cars, but also the safety features.
The Pro Grand has a 1 1/2 inch .095" tubing* roll cage mounted on 2 inch X 2 inch 14 gauge Square tubing frame rails. The chassis has “clips” making them safe & easy to repair. Drivers enter through the window opening, or a specially cut roof opening the same as a full-sized stock car. The use of an aluminium racing seat along with a 5-way safety harness gives the driver the security of a full-sized stock car unlike most other UK Oval racing formulas. It also uses a Fuel Safe Safety Cell.
Simplicity
The Pro Grand Stockcar's design makes it simple to operate and maintain.
The interior is driver friendly and comfortable including; Full aluminium interior, aluminium racing seat, quick release steering wheel, power switch panel at arms length, and an in line 5-speed shifter. The gearing is very cleverly dealt with by Winters quick change axle which allows almost endless choices of ratios, meaning gears can be changed in as little as 10 minutes so the best can be achieved from the free revving Yamaha motorcycle engines. The car features coil-over suspension so that you can easily set your car up for any track condition or length. The working hood and deck lid make it possible to have easy access to most components of the car. For more serious repairs, the entire fiberglass body can be easily removed by two people, exposing the complete engine and firewall.

You can be assured that your car has many of the precise details of the Nascar style stock cars. Pro Grand bodies are currently available in various different styles. All you have to do is apply your sponsors paint scheme. Bodies can be interchanged on the same chassis.
