The weekend of 7/8th June saw some drivers and club members head to represent at the ‘American Speedfest 12 powered by Lucas Oil’ at Brands Hatch and the weekend did not disappoint.

We had 6 of our Pro Grand Drivers performing alongside JD Stunts, Terry Grant Stunts, Swamp Thing Monster Truck and a selection of Drag Cars in the Live Action Arena all weekend in front of crowds in their hundreds at each live show. Both Saturday and Sunday saw 3 shows each day and luckily just managed to dodge the heavy rain on the Saturday. With the boys putting on some great demo races and donut performances, to say the crowd were impressed was an understatement. After each show the public were allowed into the Arena which gave our drivers and club members the chance to engage with them, talking all things racing and even helping people in and out their cars for them special memories for the crowd to take home with them.

Away from the Live Arena we also had a static stand with 2x Minicups and 2x Pro Grands present all weekend. The attention the stand got and especially our junior cars was unthinkable and plenty of interest from the public taking away information and memories. Some of the children’s faces were a picture to savour when they realised, they could sit in the cars, and got to meet a couple of our drivers including our current champ Ethan Bath and his younger brother, and currently the youngest driver in the club Arthur.

Away from the action the team managed to enjoy a little down time and soak up the sun with a social and some live music. Some nice food was eaten not forgetting the Spicy Chips and a few beverages consumed to top off what was a great weekend for the Club and its members.
